afterthoughts from a dumb dragoness

A new gal at the office

Yesterday was my first day at my new job, let's gooo!!

I'll be responsible for the frontend of an enterprise site, for the Santander bank nonetheless! It's not the first time I'm the main (and pretty much only) frontend dev, but working now in a consultancy firm it hits different. Like this is serious business now, compared with a start-up where we were 3 employees with a super chill approach to the projects.

It's neither the first time I work for a consultancy, and you know what? That's what has me scared the most. My first and second jobs were at similar positions (as a junior, ofc) and I vividly remember taking a WC break only to cry and relief the anxiety I held all day. That's what I don't want to relive.

Yeah, the salary is better than what I had on my last job and luckily, at least for now, it doesn't seem like it will be like my previous consultancy experiences. August will be a chill month because my backend mate will take vacation and I'll be mocking up until he's back, and even then it doesn't seem a hard project at all... Let's see how it goes in a few months.
